In 2005, the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians passed a law ending all disenrollments. In 2006, they disenrolled all the descendants of Paulina Walla. Today, the Hunter family continues to fight for their recognition and acceptance back into the tribe. Sovereignty laws prohibit the assistance of the Federal Government.
